Controller - Greater Boston, MA (Southwest)

Our client, a rapidly growing software company located Southwest of Boston, seeks a Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Own month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
  • Build and scale accounting processes for growth
  • Manage audit process and external auditors
  • Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and GL
  • Support FP&A, budgeting, and board reporting
  • Implement/improve systems (ERP, billing, revenue recognition)
  • Ensure SaaS metrics are accurate (ARR, deferred revenue, etc.).
  • Build and mentor a small but growing accounting team
Requirements:
 
  • 6–10 years of experience (mix of public accounting + industry preferred)
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experience in SaaS/software companies
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments
  • Systems experience (Currently using QuickBooks Pro, but looking to upgrade systems in the near future)
Looking to pay $160-180K + Bonus + Equity
