ControllerTitle of Immediate Supervisor: Chief Financial OfficerSalary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 (Full time, Exempt)Best Consideration Date: June 16th, 2026Position SummaryWashington Performing Arts (WPA) seeks a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative Controller with deep nonprofit accounting experience to lead the accounting function at one of the nation's most respected performing arts organizations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be part of a small finance & administrative team and will oversee core accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and help drive continuous improvement across systems and processes. This role offers an opportunity to apply expertise in fund accounting, net asset tracking, grant compliance, auditing/990 review, and to partner across the organization to support decision‑making, maintain financial integrity, and enhance the effectiveness of WPA's interconnected systems, including Sage Intacct, Tessitura, Paylocity, and Ramp.
