Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

• 
  
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, analyzing performance against targets and addressing variances to support informed decision-making.
• 
  
• Develop and track KPIs, delivering clear financial insights and strategic guidance to leadership on operations, investments, and growth initiatives.
• 
  
• Manage financial risk, compliance, and internal control frameworks to ensure operational integrity and protect company assets.
• 
  
• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and project accounting operations.
• 
  
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and lead the annual audit process while maintaining tax and regulatory compliance.
• 
  
• Administer and enhance ERP and financial systems, while managing cash flow and maintaining banking relationships.
• 
  
• Analyze project financial performance, including profitability, budgeting, and cost control, partnering with project managers to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• 
  
• Oversee billing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of client invoicing.
• 
  
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure data accuracy and safeguard financial assets.
• 
  
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, establishing clear expectations, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications for the Controller:

• 
  
• 7–20 years of experience within the design, engineering, architecture, or construction industries
• 
  
• Experience with Vantagepoint and/or Deltek Vision software is a must
•
