    Description

    At Federal Heath, our success is a direct result of our exceptional people. We are looking to add a CONTROLLER who shares our values of teamwork, commitment to excellence, and integrity to our Willowbrook, IL. finance team.   This role is considered hybrid and has the expectation of being in the office a minimum of 2 days per workweek.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, directs, oversees, and coordinates the financial operations and activities of the company to obtain efficiency and economy of financial operations. Establishes financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Guides financial decisions, protects assets, monitors, confirms, and maximizes financial conditions, and prepares financial budgets. Arranges audits. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel in the department. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.
    • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
    • Prepares annual budgets.
    • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to revisions, files all reports required by law, and arranges for audit of company's accounts
    • Responsible for company internal controls, account reconciliations and chart of accounts. Improves and maintains Accounting Department procedures and controls.
    • Supervises accounting and inventory functions.
    • Maintains and directs entry in all financial books and ledgers. Responsible for accounts payable and approval of new vendors
    • Presents financial results to executive team and provides CFO and CEO with numerical support for decision making
    • Train in Lean principles and attend various trade meetings and seminars to keep abreast of financial and operational management trends.
    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Education/Experience:
    • Five to ten years financial operations experience in a manufacturing operation in a financial role
    • Master's and/or bachelor's degree in accounting
    • CPA designation is highly preferred
    Language Ability:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to a variety of audiences.Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (including Word & Excel) intermediate level or higher
