Controls Design Engineer

Location: Plymouth, MN
Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and field personnel

· Strong documentation skills and attention to detail in technical writing

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Problem-solving and analytical thinking for field coordination and technical support

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities

· Customer-focused approach with the ability to support field teams and respond to RFIs and design changes

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering or related field

· 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls design, building automation, or smart building systems

· Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed control drawings

· Familiarity with HVAC systems, mechanical schedules, and control sequences

· Basic knowledge of DDC systems (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.)

· Understanding of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
