We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controls Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be playing a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Controls Engineer who is passionate about automation and industrial control and is looking to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement control systems to improve production processes in terms of safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Manage and optimize the use of SCADA systems for data collection, analysis, and process control.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and procedures.
4. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues in PLCs.
5. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and system performance layouts.
6. Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
8. Ensure all control systems and procedures comply with safety and regulatory standards.
9. Stay abreast of the latest developments in industrial control technologies and systems integration.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in PLC Programming, SCADA, Control Systems Design, Automation, and Industrial Control.
4. Experience with Systems Integration and Manufacturing Engineering.
5. Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Proven track record in managing projects and meeting deadlines.
10. Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and schematics.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
12. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
13. Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technological developments in the field.
