Controls Engineer

Position Title & Basic Details

We’re looking for a Controls Engineer based in the U.S. This is a contract position requiring 7+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you’ll be responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting equipment within the material handling, food & beverage, or automotive industries. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in Rockwell Studio 5000 and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for distribution solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and software.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during commissioning and maintenance phases.

  • Follow best practices and stay current on industry trends to continuously improve outcomes.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Rockwell PLC and HMI programming (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View); familiarity with Armor Powerflex Drives is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years working on control systems in the material handling, food & beverage, or automotive sectors.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 platform version 35 installed on personal laptop.

  • Additional certifications in relevant control systems or automation technologies.
