Controls Engineer
Position Title & Basic Details
We’re looking for a Controls Engineer based in the U.S. This is a contract position requiring 7+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is strongly preferred.
Overview
In this role, you’ll be responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting equipment within the material handling, food & beverage, or automotive industries. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in Rockwell Studio 5000 and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop control systems for distribution solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during commissioning and maintenance phases.
Follow best practices and stay current on industry trends to continuously improve outcomes.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Rockwell PLC and HMI programming (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View); familiarity with Armor Powerflex Drives is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 7 years working on control systems in the material handling, food & beverage, or automotive sectors.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 platform version 35 installed on personal laptop.
Additional certifications in relevant control systems or automation technologies.
