Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation systems for high-volume manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on technical role with responsibility for leading the controls scope of projects—from design through installation and startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead controls engineering for automation and capital projects
- Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Rockwell preferred)
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup
- Troubleshoot and optimize machine performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, IT, operations)
- Guide and review work from vendors, system integrators, and machine builders
Required Skills
- 7+ years in controls/automation engineering
- Strong experience with PLC programming (Rockwell)
- Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Ignition, etc.)
- Understanding of electrical design, schematics, and troubleshooting
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Familiarity with machine safety standards
