Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Columbus, GA (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support industrial automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial communication technologies. This role involves machine connectivity, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience supporting production-critical operations is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain industrial control systems using Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix platforms.
• Develop and support HMI/SCADA applications, machine connectivity solutions, and industrial data integration systems.
• Configure and maintain Kepware (KEPServerEX), OPC communications, and shop-floor equipment connectivity.
• Troubleshoot automation systems, support continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and FactoryTalk View.
• Experience with Kepware (KEPServerEX), OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP communications.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, support machine integration projects, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
