Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a continuous improvement mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Columbus, Indiana
Pay Range: $43–$52/hour 

What’s the Job?

• Provide controls and manufacturing engineering support to assigned production areas
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and automation equipment to reduce downtime
• Develop, modify, and maintain control programs to meet plant objectives
• Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency and reduce defects
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, audits, and process optimization efforts

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Proven experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred)
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and Allen Bradley programming experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (electrical and mechanical)
• Experience with automation systems and process optimization
