We are seeking a highly-skilled professional to design and implement advanced control solutions for both automated and manual system functions. You will be responsible for developing intuitive operator interfaces for monitoring and control, and setting up a dynamic Factory Information System to facilitate seamless data access across all operations. Your technical expertise will be vital in integrating standalone components into unified systems, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and safety through collaboration with operational and maintenance teams. Key duties include troubleshooting and enhancing PLCs, drives, and networking infrastructure, as well as supporting the commissioning of new installations and capital projects. Compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards through meticulous documentation is essential.
**Qualifications and Skills Required:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and controls.
- Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, PowerFlex drives, and HMI platforms like PanelView and Ignition.
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and virtualized environments using Windows/VMware.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to accommodate project timelines, including weekend work as necessary.
- Stellar communication and teamwork skills.
**Preferred Experience:**
- Knowledgeable in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Willingness to work unconventional hours including first and third shifts.
- Familiarity with federal mining regulations and operational equipment.
- Experience with mine ventilation, materials processing, and shaft maintenance.
**Key Competencies:**
- Develop new PLC programs independently.
- Hands-on expertise with conveyor and safety systems.
