About the Role
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support industrial automation, PLC programming, equipment commissioning, and troubleshooting. This is a good opportunity for an early-career engineer with hands-on controls or manufacturing automation experience.
Responsibilities
Support PLC programming and modifications using Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000.
Assist with HMI development and troubleshooting.
Support equipment commissioning, startup, and testing.
Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs, and control systems.
Assist with machine and process automation improvements.
Read and update electrical schematics, I/O lists, and controls documentation.
Work with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
Support continuous improvement and automation projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
1 3 years of Controls/Automation experience or relevant hands-on internship/project experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
Basic understanding of HMI, sensors, VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems.
Ability to read basic electrical schematics and troubleshoot controls issues.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
FactoryTalk View experience.
Exposure to Kepware, OPC, or SCADA systems.
Basic knowledge of EtherNet/IP or Modbus.
Experience with equipment commissioning or manufacturing automation.
