Controls Engineer

Join a leading global player in innovative battery separator production and take charge of optimizing and maintaining cutting-edge manufacturing systems. In this role, you'll oversee the plant's key equipment and processes, focusing on electrical and automation systems, including Siemens Controllers and various industrial instrumentation. You'll track performance metrics like Uptime and MTBF, striving for continuous improvement and modernization of technologies.

Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the resolution of technical issues in systems such as E-Beam and Tension Control. You will formulate and implement strategic plans to enhance equipment reliability, manage annual capital projects, and provide mentorship to manufacturing personnel on maintenance priorities and preventive strategies.

Communication will also be essential as you work closely with the IT department to address and resolve network challenges. This position requires flexibility to include some weekend duties and being on-call, ensuring seamless plant operations.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with solid AutoCAD and MS Office skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume industrial environment using advanced automation and maintenance practices.
- Familiar with Lean methodologies and quality management systems.
- Proficient in Siemens PLC program installation and advanced motor drive control.
- Strong background in using control diagrams for complex automated processes.
- Experience in related manufacturing sectors like molding or web handling is a plus.
- Skilled in editing technical documentation for electrical and automation systems.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI software for efficient plant operation management.
- Effective in sourcing, managing and maintaining a stock of critical spare parts.
