Job Title: Controls Engineer Location: Libertyville, IL Pay Rate: $42 $49/hr on W2
Job Summary
Seeking a Controls Engineer to support automation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-volume medical device manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, SCADA, and machine controls.
Support equipment installation, FAT, SAT, validation, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot PLCs, electrical devices, motion systems, and vision inspection systems.
Develop and implement controls improvements to improve safety, quality, uptime, and productivity.
Support machine networks, MES/SCADA interfaces, and equipment software.
Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and automation teams.
Required Skills
7+ years of controls/automation experience in manufacturing.
Strong Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI/SCADA experience.
Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk, Ignition.
