Job Summary
Lead controls engineering activities for high-volume medical device manufacturing equipment.
Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion control, vision, and industrial automation systems.
Lead equipment specification, installation, FAT/SAT, validation, and commissioning activities.
Improve equipment safety, reliability, quality, and production performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop controls specifications and oversee OEM electrical/controls design and machine builds.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and servo drives.
Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Support software changes, preventive maintenance, validation, and technical training.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of controls engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing.
Strong experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and industrial automation systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Medical device manufacturing experience.
Experience with Cognex, Keyence, or Fanuc vision systems.
Experience with Beckhoff or B&R (ABB) PLCs.
Knowledge of MES, RFID, industrial networking, and equipment validation.
