Description
This Automation and Controls Engineer will be responsible for:
- Supporting plant-wide automation and controls systems.
- Providing day-to-day controls support for manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshooting production, process, and equipment-related issues.
- Upgrading and maintaining PLC, HMI, VFD, and controls infrastructure.
- Driving continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Managing controls-related changes and equipment modifications.
- Supporting capital projects involving automation and controls systems.
- Collaborating closely with mechanics, electricians, operations, and plant leadership.
Profile
A Successful Automation and Controls Engineer will have"
- 2+ years of controls or automation engineering experience.
- Manufacturing controls experience required.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ladder Logic, FactoryTalk, and VFDs.
- Strong troubleshooting and plant support capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing environments; pulp & paper preferred.
