Controls Process Engineer – Automated Manufacturing
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support and optimize automated production systems within a fast-paced automated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability, troubleshooting controls issues, and driving process efficiency across high-speed production lines.
We are looking for someone experienced as a manufacturing engineer who is skilled in Controls, automation, and process improvements. Continuous Improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and PLC programming is required.
Experience in consumer goods and clean room environment a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC/HMI systems (Siemens or Allen-Bradley)
Support automation, controls, and electrical systems across filling, packaging, and processing equipment
Work with VFDs, sensors, vision systems, and instrumentation
Lead or support projects including installation, startup, and commissioning
Partner with maintenance and operations to reduce downtime and improve performance
Qualifications:
Must have have some experience with working in the process, not just working as an integrator/machine builder.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
Experience in manufacturing automation or controls engineering
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience in cosmetics, food & beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing
Knowledge of high-speed packaging or processing equipment
