Job Description Summary

Dauch is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in North Vernon, IN

As a Controls Enigneer, you must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Job Description:

  • Evaluate control systems, products, components, and applications.

  • Evaluate new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting into specifications as appropriate.

  • Confirm control system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing test procedures.

  • Prepare and/or reviews electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.

  • Ensure integrity of process and build data collection.

  • Provide information to manufacturing, process, and other engineering disciplines by answering questions and requests.

  • Keep equipment operating by performing periodic audits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing process improvements.

  • Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.

  • Manage supplier development and delivery.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelors Degreel or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs and integrate Safety PLC control systems for machinery and automation.
  • Experience in Allen Bradley PLC’s, Servo Controllers, HMI products, and software.
