Controls Engineer

About The Role

Join our client's team as a key player in maintaining and developing essential software within the plant. Your expertise will ensure optimal production performance and compliance with industry standards, contributing to the overall success of the operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support TS 16949 & ISO 14001 Systems.
• Approve electrical process specifications and design standards.
• Develop and implement software changes to enhance production capabilities.
• Design and maintain electrical controls and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical control issues for press, robotic, and weld machines.
• Assist in reducing or eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap.
• Coordinate and implement electrical controls projects as assigned.
• Serve as an engineering consultant and trainer to other departments and occasionally to customers.
• Review and approve production workflow set-ups.
• Initiate and recommend solutions through designated channels.
• Exercise authority to stop production operations for safety or quality concerns.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and treat team members with respect and dignity.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in controls and design of electrical panels.
• Proficient in software structure and programming.
• Computer literate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• People-oriented with a complete understanding of controls and design technologies.
• Willing and able to travel.
