This Controls Engineer role focuses on improving plant safety, product quality, and operational efficiency through hands-on engineering and automation. You will lead controls projects from concept to validation while supporting day-to-day manufacturing performance. Description Design and implement electrical and controls system upgrades across manufacturing equipment.Support new equipment installations, modifications, testing, validation, and start-up activities.Improve process capability, equipment reliability, and defect reduction through automation.Program, troubleshoot, and optimise PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems.Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams.Lead and manage controls-related engineering projects from concept to completion.Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and validation reports.Ensure all equipment and processes meet safety and quality standards. Profile Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming and industrial control systems.Experience with sensors, vision systems, network communications, and data collection systems.Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.CAD experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise systems.Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative working style.
