ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts research and investigations to develop, and test, new software and applications.
- Develop new or current welding methods, techniques, and procedures, discover new patterns of welding phenomena, or to correlate and substantiate hypotheses.
- Revises software to assist production (Press & Welding) personnel in the manufacture of product, relating to specification restrictions.
- Evaluates new developments in the welding field as it relates to software for possible application to current welding problems, production processes or cost savings.
- Support maintenance members on emergency downtime situations when required and participate in the training of maintenance personnel.
- The Controls Engineer will be responsible for ensuring processes are improved as required and standards are reviewed and followed when applicable.
- Performs trouble shooting on existing equipment for programming problems and resolution.
- Follows all plant rules regarding Safety and Quality Procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFACTIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Engineering and/or related field plus a minimum of (3) years experience.
- Knowledge of electricity and its dangers.
- Meet minimum qualifications as contained in the selection process.
