Location: Randleman, NC (20 minutes south of Greensboro) Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: 100,000.
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer II to join a growing engineering team focused on designing and implementing advanced industrial automation solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in PLC programming, HMI development, motion control, and system integration who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control systems.
Develop higher-level programming for database integration, machine recipes, and data logging.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver fully integrated automation systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation including I/O lists, system layouts, and operating manuals.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
Document engineering changes and project modifications throughout each phase.
Travel up to 25% to customer locations for system startup and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience programming and commissioning PLC/HMI and motion control systems.
Candidates with an Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
Experience with machine motion control systems.
Previous machine startup and commissioning experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Fanuc or KUKA robot programming.
Python, C, C++, VB.NET, or VBA.
HMI/SCADA platforms such as FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, iFIX, or Ignition.
AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
