Recommend equipment improvements and/or manufacturing methods that would result in improved quality or greater efficiency.

Coordinate all mechanical / electrical system modifications with external vendors, maintenance personnel and Facility Engineering Manager in regards to automation control.

Organize and maintain all system documentation (mechanical/electrical prints, software documentation and backups, path problems, robot configurations and parameters and configuration parameters).

Outline and maintain maintenance practices for automated systems and programs

Design and implement software, electrical and mechanical automated systems from concept to full development and production launch.

Support and assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems.

Support Multiple PLC and electrical controlled automated systems

Design, implement and support all human machine interface (HMI) hardware and software for automated systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree electrical engineering.

Minimum 5-year experience in the practical application of engineering technologies to manufacturing processes with emphasis on automation, programming, vision systems, and control systems.

Experienced in an engineering field within a manufacturing environment.

Competence with PLCs, including programming.

Competence in personal computer Windows applications including: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD.

Working knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of control systems, PLC programming and systems integration.

Technical leadership.

Long term technical planning as applied to manufacturing processes.
