A large Material Handling Company is looking for a Controls Lead for specialized machines. This person will collaborate closely with the company's European headquarters to gather detailed information on new machinery and serve as the subject matter expert for this equipment moving forward. Your responsibilities include making code changes and ensuring a deep understanding of PLC logic and programming, primarily in Siemens platforms (with strong Allen-Bradley experience also valuable). You will lead the handover process to the Controls Commissioning team, support PLC software engineering and emulation during commissioning, and conduct technical reviews of controls software deliverables and onsite systems prior to customer handover. Additionally, you will finalize module lists for commissioning, attend project kick-off and core team meetings for new product initiatives, and actively monitor and support new product development in collaboration with R&D. A lot of this work will be done in Siemens TIA, so strong Siemens experience is a plus, however in depth understanding of Allen Bradley is very transferable.
