    Description

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or related field
    • 4-6 years of experience designing robotic or automation systems and tooling
    • Strong understanding of automated processes (welding, cutting, case packing, palletizing) and their applications
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks for solid modeling and 2D detailing for manufacturing
    • Experience designing automation including pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems
    • Experience designing and specifying robotic end-of-arm tooling, conveyors, pick and place systems, linear motion systems, and safety systems
    • Ability to perform advanced mechanical and electrical calculations to verify design requirements
    • Valid driver's license and full coverage automobile insurance (frequent travel required)
    • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop robotic systems and tooling fixtures to meet customer specifications or project requirements
    • Perform advanced mechanical and electrical calculations to verify overall design outcomes and generate Bills of Material (BOM) and electrical drawings
    • Attend project kickoff meetings, communicate directly with customers on technical issues, and facilitate design reviews with customers and suppliers
    • Conduct tests to assure success during project validation and verification, and analyze test data to ensure design meets specifications
    • Coordinate and assist in solving technical problems during debug and at customer sites, and provide technical support and leadership to engineering teams and customers
