Controls Specialist – Systems Control



Salary $85,000 – $105,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Midwest



Excellent opportunity for an experienced Process Controls & Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership for plant automation, controls, electrical systems, and capital projects. You’ll help improve process reliability and efficiency while supporting the automation network and technologies essential to day-to-day manufacturing operations.



Ideally, you have a BS, AS, or technical training in Electrical Engineering, but it’s not a requirement. We are looking for someone with automation controls experience in manufacturing. Certification from Rockwell is a huge plus.



What you'll do as the Controls Specialist:


· Provide technical expertise for process controls, electrical systems, design, construction, and maintenance.


· Troubleshoot controls and electrical issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.


· Develop and maintain process control and electrical engineering standards and specifications.


· Support and improve PLC, HMI, automation networks, VFDs, instrumentation, and related systems.


· Develop and manage controls and electrical projects, including vendors and contractors.


· Support capital projects, plant expansions, equipment installations, and process improvements.


· Identify technical solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and operating costs.


· Serve as a technical resource for controls and electrical engineering matters.



Minimum requirements needed for the Process Controls & Electrical Engineer:


· At least 5 years of control system technical experience in manufacturing.


· Strong HMI and ControlLogix programming experience.


· Knowledge of Rockwell Automation systems, FactoryTalk View, PLC programming, VFDs, pumps, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.


· Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and one-line drawings.
