Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission‑critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, supports customers in optimizing energy use and reducing carbon emissions across a range of industries.Responsibilities Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.Load and debug system‑level controller software.Conduct basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators.Document all commissioning activities and provide as‑built documentation.Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.Respond to basic warranty calls and resolve service‑related items.Calibrate systems utilizing basic electronic test equipment.Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.Keep management, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues.Communicate with contractors or customers on arrival and prior to departure from the site.Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training; maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities, and prepare supporting quotes.Qualifications 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field; or at least 2 years of industry experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems.Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.Proficient PC skills and ability to program HVAC‑related software.Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally to customers and contacts.Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $20‑$28, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
