Ecolab is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to join our team in Greensboro, NC. As a Maintenance Controls Technician, you’ll utilize electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills to maintain production equipment, install new equipment, and ensure systems operate efficiently and within specifications.
 
How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Utilize electrical and computer skills to program PLC and Servo controls for production equipment, ensuring that it is running in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to PLC/Servo/HMI and make the necessary repairs.
  • Assist in developing Scope of Work.
  • Assist in developing specifications for the new equipment and processes.
  • Work with vendors obtaining quotes based on a RFQ and Specifications.
  • Ensure that new equipment is properly designed, laid out and installed according to machine and plant specifications.
  • Conduct equipment testing (FAT/PAT) to ensure that it continues to meet job specifications.
  • Review and ensure optimal process design and continuous improvement in a variety of production processes.
  • Handle all aspects of project management for new equipment installation, including timelines, costing, and design review.
  • Manage daily tasks of contractors.
     
Position Details:
Plant Location: Greensboro, NC
Work Week & Shift: Night Crew (2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Compensation: $35.00 / hour + $1.50 / hour shift differential
Sign-On Bonus: $4,500
Travel Required: No

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician within a high-speed production environment
  • 3 years of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment
  • 1 year of experience in Project and Contractor Management

Physical Requirements of Position:
  • Ability to work in difficult situations such as confined space, heat and elevated places
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with demanding and odd hours

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment
  • Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with an emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy, including skills with Microsoft Office and JDE

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$35.00 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
