Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for one (1) full-time, permanent position of Controls Technician with Facility Maintenance & Operation a division of Property, Fleet & Environment. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Building Operations, the Controls Technician performs programming work in the repair, maintenance, service, modification, troubleshooting, inspection and monitoring of the operations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning through EMS (Emergency Management Control System). The Controls Technician performs a variety of skilled tasks required for the maintenance, upgrading and renovations of HVAC systems and equipment.

WORK STATUS: Permanent, full-time.
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours/week, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am - Monday through Friday.
SALARY: In accordance with the NSGEU 222 collective agreement, Group 8: $39.63 /hour.
WORK LOCATION: 375 Cowie Hill, Halifax, NS.
