Controls Technician

1st SHIFT/$28-$38/hr/FULL TIME

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a slow release medication coating systems manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, PLCs, and HMIs to minimize downtime
  • Perform wiring, installation, and commissioning of control systems and related equipment
  • Provide remote technical support for the Indianapolis site and travel as needed for on-site assistance
  • Support the Stoughton maintenance team with electrical and controls-related repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and implement system upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve complex issues and drive improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, control systems, and programming updates
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards during work activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of maintenance experience, or an associate’s degree with 1+ year of related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical controls or automation systems
  • At least 1 year of formal training or certification in electrical, high voltage, HVAC, or related technology
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (facility maintenance, machine maintenance, equipment installation, and preventative maintenance)
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs, including programming and diagnostics
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents
  • Proficient in the use of electrical and mechanical tools
