Job Title: Field Representative - HVAC Control SystemsJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Representative to provide front-line technical and repair support for HVAC control systems. You will demonstrate courtesy and professionalism in all interactions, collaborating closely with the Operations Team to meet customer needs promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a field representative, demonstrating courtesy and professionalism.
  • Provide front-line technical and repair support through effective communication with the team.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to meet customer needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform troubleshooting, installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC control systems, including mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.
  • Execute project field work independently, ensuring quality and adherence to budgeted timelines.
  • Mentor other technicians in all aspects of project execution.
  • Review mechanical plans and control submittals to identify potential issues with devices, wiring, or sequences of operation.
  • Modify and troubleshoot control programming as needed for project requirements.
  • Conduct customer training sessions for completed projects.
  • Participate in company training and pursue self-directed learning to maintain technical expertise.
  • Document changes for as-built records and ensure accurate project billing.
  • Follow all safety standards and complete required safety training.
  • Keep management informed of job progress and potential issues.
  • Manage processes and procedures proactively, including email, project folders, labor logs, and expense submissions.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in sequence of operation verification for newly installed HVAC equipment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in point-to-point testing and verifying electrical connections.
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems, control devices, computer operations, electronics, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with DDC/direct digital controls, airflow, hydronic systems, IT networking, analytics, and building controls technologies.
  • Ability to use Windows applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record to drive a company vehicle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with building automation software, Siemens control, Honeywell, Trane, and Siemens NX.
  • Expertise in automation, mechanical, and wiring aspects of building automation and controls.
  • Ability to work with low voltage controls and sequence of operation verification (SOO).

Work Environment

This position may require working in extremely hot or cold weather conditions, and potentially noisy or hazardous environments where PPE is necessary. The role involves significant daily local travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight travel for distant customer sites and training at various manufacturers, generally lasting from 2 to 5 days. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
