We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a precision-focused manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating manual mills and lathes to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components in a safety-driven environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
You will be responsible for machining precision parts from blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality in every finished product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
- Verify part accuracy and ensure tight tolerances are met
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Troubleshoot machining issues as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of manual milling and lathe experience
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of speeds, feeds, tooling, and material properties
- Experience in a high-precision machining environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
