Converting Bag Operator
Shift: 2nd, (2pm-10pm)
Pay: $19.50-$25/hr (Based on Experience)
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Converting Bag Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating poly bag manufacturing equipment, performing quality inspections, packaging finished products, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Description:
- Operate poly bag manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform minor machine adjustments and assist with setups
- Manufacture bags according to customer specifications and quality standards
- Inspect products and record quality data accurately
- Package finished products for shipment
- Complete production calculations and documentation
- Load and handle rolls of film onto machinery
- Perform daily, weekly, and bi-weekly cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Follow all plant safety, food safety, and environmental procedures
- Communicate equipment or quality concerns to leadership promptly
- Support additional production tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Ability to use basic hand tools and read a tape measure accurately
- Basic math and computer entry skills
