TITLE: Converting Operator A

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Produce the highest quality product meeting the customer's specification through safe operation of the assigned equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalencyPrefer previous experience with the operation of electric pallet jack and manufacturing environment.Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately maintain scrap produced (weigh and tag when taken from production areas)Demonstrate the ability to operate machinery at maximum output while achieving top quality productMust complete all paperwork with accuracy and in a timely mannerPerform basic visual and physical quality inspection for finishing productPerform basic troubleshooting for quality and machine shutdownPerform job changing based on work instruction (printing plate, size, quantity etc.)Move finished goods, gaylords, operation supplies to and from storage and production areas by hand or using manual electric pallet trucksMaintain a clean and neat work area in the production area, scrap areas, finishing goods storage areas, and box areaPerform daily housekeeping tasks to remove trash, dirt, scrap, and plastic pellets from the production floorEmpty trash dumpsters and designated broken pallet areas dailyMust ensure that General Manufacturing policies are being followedKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturingKnowledge of proper operation of all machineryAbide by all Inteplast IBS safety policies and proceduresAny others duties or responsibilities as determined by Plant Manager that would fall within the normal job requirements

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Basic mathematical skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to accurately count and record all types of materials - finished goods, operation supplies, roll stock, and scrapGood written and verbal skillsMust be able to read and write in EnglishMust be able to operate machinery and pass a safety test

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

Ability to work in an environment that is extremely hot, and humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects frequently.Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs frequently.Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period.Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs frequently.Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects up to 50 lbs.Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
