This role includes specialized responsibilities supporting copper and other mining activities , ensuring the efficient and safe movement of material throughout extraction and processing areas.This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys both field and technical work.Key ResponsibilitiesConveyor System Engineering & DesignInspect conveyor layouts, specifications, and component selections.Perform load calculations, system assessments, and belt speed analysis.Produce technical documentation.Support system installation and ensure adherence to safety requirements.Conduct functional testing, inspections and commissioning of conveyor systems.Maintenance & TroubleshootingDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Support preventive maintenance planning and optimization.Safety & ComplianceConduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements.Maintain compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.Mining Operations Support (as applicable)Assist with conveyor systems handling material in underground or open‑pit mining environments.Ensure systems meet production flow, ore‑handling, and environmental conditions.Collaborate with mining teams during expansions or conveyor rerouting.Mining Safety & MSHA ComplianceSupport compliance with MSHA and site‑specific safety protocols.Participate in mining hazard assessments (dust, ore movement, heavy equipment zones).Recommend safety improvements to reduce downtime and risk.Performance MonitoringMonitor conveyor wear from abrasive ore and recommend proper materials and components.Troubleshoot spillage, misalignment, and high‑impact issues.Coordinate with maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.Work with mining supervisors, geologists, and processing staff.Provide engineering insights during operational planning and ore‑body development.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering fieldExperience with material handling systems, motors, gearboxes, and automationProficiency with conveyor calculation tools (e.g., Belt Analyst)Strong CAD understanding (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesMining experience is a plus, but not requiredMedicalVision401(k)Paid Time OffWhat We OfferWe provide an engaging and rewarding work environment within a global organization that operates production sites across Europe (Austria, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland), the United States, and Asia (Thailand, China, India, and Malaysia), along with additional sales offices worldwide.
