Lobby Bar is a craft cocktail and tapas bar in the Castro focused on elevated hospitality, creative cocktails, and small plates inspired by flavors from around the world. We are currently looking for a dependable and hard-working Cook / Kitchen Utility team member to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on kitchen support role ideal for someone who enjoys both food preparation and operational kitchen work in a smaller, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Fry-cook and small plate preparation
Preparing sauces, garnishes, and basic food prep
Pressing fresh juices and producing house-made syrups for the bar program
Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
Inventory organization and restocking
General kitchen upkeep and support during service
Assisting with prep for events and catering as needed
What we are looking for:
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working independently in a small kitchen
Able to multitask and stay organized during service
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Position Details:
Part-time to start, with potential to grow into full-time
Minimum 20 hours per week
Evening-focused shifts
Kitchen hours are Tuesday Sunday
Shifts start no earlier than 2:30 PM and end no later than 9:30 PM
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with a small independent hospitality business and learn both kitchen and craft cocktail support operations.
Must have food-handlers certificate.
