Monday through Friday following the WSU Charter Academy 2026-27 calendar

  • Typical afternoon hours can vary between: 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Hours are flexible depending on the student's schedule.

Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate $12.00 FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function

Kitchen Organization and Inventory

  • Organize kitchen supplies, food items, and storage areas.
  • Rotate inventory using proper food safety procedures.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Monitor supply levels and report shortages to supervising staff.
  • Label and organize food items and kitchen materials.

Cleaning and Sanitation

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment.
  • Clean countertops, tables, sinks, and food preparation areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, and health department requirements.

Other tasks in the Charter Academy as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with food and large kitchen equipment.
