JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Cook / Cook Aide Reports to: Center Director General Job Description: The cook’s main responsibility is to ensure all of our students are always offered healthy meals prepared and served on time in a clean and safe environment. Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be 21 years old or older CPR and First Aid Certified SIDS certification Must obtain a Clearance/Qualifying letter from the DCDEE Criminal Record Check Unit prior to getting in contact with children. 1 year of experience Values

Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivation, and show initiative. g. Ability to work effectively and communicate with a diverse population of students, parents, and staff. h. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy (sometimes chaotic) and demanding environment. i. Responsible and dependable with good attendance and work habits. j. Fingerprint/criminal record clearance from SBI and DHHS Criminal Background check. k. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas. l. Demonstrate excellent communication skills in Spanish and English. m. Must be team oriented and coordinate with employees and providers. Be able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others. n. Ability to participate enthusiastically in school meetings, parties, and other school events. o. · Proficiency & Language Growth: Communicates clearly and effectively in English and demonstrates a willingness to learn and use Spanish in daily interactions.
