Job Summary Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Supervisor, plan, organize, and coordinate the food preparation and cooking of all food in the Central Kitchen Facility. Ensure all food items cooked meet U.S.D.A. nutritional guidelines under the National School Lunch Program. Participate in the work duties of the Central Kitchen.

Requirements and Qualifications Education: Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade Valid California Drivers License Valid Food Handler Certificate One year of experience in food handling practices necessary A certificate from an accredited college, technical, or vocational school for completion of a course of study in professional cooking, food service, dietary management, culinary arts, or a closely related area preferred Experience in institution food service and/or large batch cooking preferred

Job Description Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Supervisor, plan, organize, and coordinate the food preparation and cooking of all food in the Central Kitchen Facility.

Experience Experience in institution food service and/or large batch cooking preferred

Knowledge and Abilities Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic calculations, and complete written and oral directions Work cooperatively with others Ability to lift 50 pounds Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points (H.A.C.C.P) knowledge preferred
