We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join North Yorkshire Council in a combined Cook, Cleaner and Caretaker position at Kirkby In Malhamdale Primary School, BD23 4BY
This unique role combines responsibility for preparing nutritious school meals, maintaining a clean school environment and carrying out essential caretaker duties. Ideally, we are looking for one person who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a friendly school community. The Roles
Cook 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time only. £13.47 - £14.13 per hour
We are proud to provide healthy, nutritious meals that support children's wellbeing and learning. As Cook, you will be responsible for delivering an effective catering service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties will include:
Cleaner- 10 hours per week- £13.28 per hour
As part of our facilities team, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the school.
Duties will include:
Working Hours: Between 3:30pm and 6:00pm, with some flexibility on start and finish times.
In addition to the Cook and Cleaner responsibilities, you can undertake basic site security duties to ensure the school remains safe and secure, this is for 1 hour per week for an additional £13.28- £13.47 per hour
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Previous experience in catering, cleaning or caretaking would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
