Cook/Correctional Facility

Selrico Services Inc. is seeking a reliable and dedicated Cook to join our team at a correctional facility in Conroe, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict sanitation practices, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following approved menus and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Ensure proper storage of food products in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with facility staff to accommodate special dietary needs and meal schedules.
• Adhere to all correctional facility policies and procedures while on site.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cooking, preferably in a correctional or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and orderliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of passing background checks and any required screenings.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
