Cook Perks: Generous BonusesGrowth Opportunities - DOUBLE your salaryHealth BenefitsPOSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the (Asst) Dietary Services Director, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior.Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.Prepares meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic diets and authorized substitutions. Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.Prepares and serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.Prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as with established policies and procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years' dietary experience required, preferably in an acute or long term care environment.High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of Food Safety/Sanitation course requiredCommitment to the company mission to consistently deliver high quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity, and to enrich every life we touch.
