Location: UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center, US, CO, Estes Park Department: EVMC Dietary Work Schedule: PRN 0.00 hours per pay period 2 weeks Shift: Flex Pay: $18.54 - $24.10 hour. Pay is dependent on applicants relevant experience.

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Summary Cooks and prepares food for distribution to patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared.
  • Follows standardized recipes in preparation of all foods.
  • Plans cooking schedule with supervisor and/or exec chef to ensure food will be ready at specified times.
  • Confers with supervisor and/or exec chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.
  • Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling, and preparation of food as well as in the sanitation and maintenance of work area.
  • Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • In lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required.
  • Exception: Neither HS/GED nor competency testing are required for positions at Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC).
  • 1 year of experience.
