We are Wildcats!As a Cook Helper/Cashier you are required to:Have a High School diploma or equivalentHave experience in a volume production kitchen environment (preferred)Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessionsBe willing to serve on teamsHave the ability to relate to students with diverse backgroundsDemonstrate enthusiasm in your roleAs a Cook Helper/Cashier you will: Take direction from the Head Cook in the assigned kitchenPrepare food for the school utilizing standard operating procedures that have been developed by the Food and Nutrition Department to safely and nutritiously feed the students and staff of the Springfield City School DistrictAdhere to the cashier standards of operations, reporting and maintenanceFollow the systems that are utilized to maintain compliance with all regulatory agency requirementsOperate all equipment according to the standard operating procedure for safety and efficiencyServe as a contact at the assigned school for issues that may arise. Report all issues to the Head Cook within a timely manner.Help prepare a monthly inventory when needed, under the supervision of the Head CookComplete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork as requiredHelp to ensure the safe and accurate receiving, storage, rotation, and disposition of all food and suppliesWork as a cashier on a regular basis, or when neededWhat We Offer:As a contracted employee, this position works 7 hours per day, 188 days per contracted year.
