Pay Range $20.007-$22.229 per hour Pay Determination

Follow instructions and established procedures to perform helper duties for cooks.

Education and Experience

The ability to read, write, do simple math, use calculator, food thermometer and follow directions is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Pan variety of simple meats, prepare simple casseroles, convenience foods, open cans, frozen foods.
  • Assist on serving lines as needed.
  • Slice deli meats.
  • Take food to serving lines and replenish as needed.
  • Store and date food items.
  • Fill out appropriate paper work for computerized Food Service production system (CSI) including service records and food production sheets.
  • Proper storage of food items, cold vs. hot, raw vs. cooked.
  • Grill hamburgers, cheese sandwiches, etc.
  • Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting between 15-30 lbs, bending, stooping, work with dust fumes and solvents on a daily basis.

Tools/Equipment

Operate a variety of equipment including food slicer, grill steamer, steamer jacketed kettle, buffalo chopper, variety of ovens, tilt brazier, deep fat fryer, charcoal broiler, wok, waffle iron, cleaning of all kitchen equipment/hoods, grills, slicers, etc.
