Education and/or Experience: Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Previous prep or line cook experience.
Language Skills: Must speak and understand English. Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions. Employees will be required to effectively communicate with the customers in English. This requirement is strictly for the purpose of efficiently performing the contract tasks.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to think, react calmly, and respond to emergency situations. Must be able to perform under stressful situations and respond to work problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed heat/cold from the mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
