Do you enjoy cooking and take pride in preparing quality meals? We're hiring a Cook for a temporary full-time opportunity at a local hospital in Albion. This position is covering a medical leave of absence and is expected to last approximately 6-12 weeks making it a great opportunity to gain healthcare food service experience while working with a supportive team.

What You'll Do

• 
  Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients, staff and visitors
  
• 
  Prepare food according to recipes, menus and dietary requirements
  
• 
  Assist with meal tray preparation and delivery
  
• 
  Follow food safety, sanitation and infection control guidelines
  
• 
  Take and record food temperatures
  
• 
  Complete food prep, kitchen cleaning and dishwashing duties
  
• 
  Assist with inventory, stocking and maintaining a clean kitchen
  
• 
  Work closely with Dietary Aides and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  
• 
  Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  Previous food preparation or commercial kitchen experience preferred
  
• 
  Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  
• 
  Reliable with excellent communication skills
  
• 
  Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  
• 
  Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals accurately
  
• 
  Must be at least 18 years old
  

Schedule

• 
  6: 00 AM - 2: 00 PM
  
• 
  Full-time
  
• 
  Every other Saturday and Sunday
  
• 
  Additional weekday shifts (typically Thursdays and Fridays) may be available based on scheduling needs
  

Pay

• 
  $18.15-$22.69 per hour
  

This is a temporary position covering a medical leave of absence anticipated to last approximately 6-12 weeks (through September or mid-October, depending on the employee's return).
