?We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, executing menu items to exact specifications, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with the team, and takes pride in every plate they send out.

?Key Responsibilities

  • ?Food Preparation: Prep ingredients daily (chopping vegetables, cutting proteins, preparing sauces) according to established recipes and portion controls.
  • ?Line Cooking: Execute menu items efficiently on the line (grill, station, fry, or sauté) during high-volume service rushes.
  • ?Quality & Consistency: Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and plated according to established recipes, presentation standards, and temperature requirements.
  • ?Kitchen Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean work station throughout the shift. Adhere to all local health department regulations, food safety protocols, and safe knife-handling practices.
  • ?Inventory & Storage: Properly label, date, and rotate stock (FIFO method—First In, First Out) to minimize waste. Alert management when inventory levels run low.
  • ?Teamwork: Coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth, synchronized service and timely ticket times.

?Requirements & Qualifications

  • ?Experience: Proven experience working as a line cook, prep cook, or station cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • ?Technical Skills: Strong knife skills and familiarity with standard commercial kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, slicers, ovens).
  • ?Pace & Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work efficiently under pressure during peak dining hours.
  • ?Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • ?Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification is preferred.
