Cook - Part-Time (PT) - Evening - Part-Time 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and team-oriented Cook to join our culinary team on a part-time evening schedule. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing high-quality meals that enhance the daily experience of our residents. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely, safe, and consistent manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating as needed
• Collaborate with dietary aides and team members to ensure smooth service
• Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs
• Support special events, modified diets, and resident preferences when applicable

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or senior living experience a plus)
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to support evening/weekend needs
