The Cook (Per Diem) position involves food preparation for residents, patients, employees, and visitors, with coverage needed for days, evenings, and weekends.
- Reviews menus and production sheets to prepare all required food items, ensuring quality, freshness, taste, and presentation according to approved recipes.
- Plans and executes food production within specified timeframes for various meal services and venues.
- Follows HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety and proper serving temperatures.
- Inspects and maintains cleanliness and safety of all cooking equipment and utensils.
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment, including knives, slicers, mixers, and ovens.
- Reports concerns regarding food or equipment to management and performs additional assigned duties.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or technical training, 3-5 years of large-volume cooking experience, and preferred ServSafe certification. Basic English reading, writing, comprehension, and math skills are required.
